Matt has personally travelled to Cambodia and Kenya, walked the schools, met the pastors, seen the wells being drilled. Heartland Ministries

Pastor Channa experienced devastating loss during the Pol Pot regime, yet his resilience and love for Cambodia drives him to serve those who need it most. Heartland Ministry is committed to sharing love in prayerful and practical ways — providing places for worship, meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable, developing sustainable community projects, building fresh water wells, and supporting those in prison. Whether it’s feeding families, drilling wells, or walking into a prison to tell someone they haven’t been forgotten, Heartland is about loving people where they are.
Strong Church Youth Ministry
KampongCham, Cambodia
Pastor Outdom has a genuine love for the next generation. Full of energy and purpose, he reaches out to young people who otherwise have very little to look forward to. He runs church programs, organises soccer tournaments and sporting events that bring kids together, and supports local schools with practical programs that keep children engaged and hopeful. In a region where young people can easily fall through the cracks, Outdom gives them something to belong to — and something to believe in.
Marvellous Academy School
Ugunja, Kenya (near Kisumu)
About an hour from the city of Kisumu, Pastor Moses volunteered his time to build a school in a village full of poor and needy families where education was simply unavailable. Moses and his team grow produce on a small area of land to feed the children, and provide all the textbooks, pencils, and curriculum materials these kids need. Higher Deeper Fishing is committed to helping finance school building construction, curriculum needs, fresh water projects that reach the larger community, and sustainable project opportunities that give these children a real future.
Berean School & Ray of Hope
Mbita, Lake Victoria, Kenya
On the shores of Lake Victoria in western Kenya, Pastor Benard and Pastor Dorothy have built something remarkable. Through Berean School and the Ray of Hope Integrated Support Organisation, they provide free education to over 400 children from families who couldn’t otherwise afford it. But it doesn’t stop at schooling — Ray of Hope goes out to surrounding villages with care packages containing food and health resources, runs sustainable farming initiatives and craft production, and provides welfare support to widows and vulnerable community members. They’re currently constructing a new school building to keep pace with growing enrolment numbers and expanding their teaching staff.
